Addiction Science

Dissemination and Implementation Lab

The Addiction Science Dissemination and Implementation Research Lab applies dissemination and implementation (D&I) science to understanding and improving the adoption, implementation, and sustainment of evidence-based prevention and treatment for substance use. Our primary study examines how college prevention experts select and adopt alcohol prevention strategies for their campuses, with the ultimate goal of developing a program to support and enhance the efforts of providers who work with college students. Additionally, our lab collaborates on projects to support substance-focused providers across contexts. Other projects focus on improving access and reducing barriers for addiction prevention, treatment, and information among at-risk groups (e.g., college students, individuals with co-occurring mental health concerns).
