Akshat Gandhi, B.S.

Data Coordinator

Akshat is a research specialist in the Addiction Science Dissemination and Implementation Lab. He graduated from the University of Toronto in Toronto, ON and received a BS in Psychology. Before moving to the United States, Akshat volunteered in the SKIP (Self-Knowledge and Interpersonal Perception) lab at the University of Toronto. He is particularly interested in how evidence-based research can help those suffering from substance use disorders, such as alcohol addiction. Akshat hopes to get a PhD in clinical or counseling psychology and hopes to see clients in the future while continuing to research. Outside the lab, his leisurely interests range from walking and cycling on trails to video games, tech, cars, motorcycles, and standup comedy. 

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Ethan is a sophomore undergraduate researcher in the Addiction Science Dissemination and Implementation Lab. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and Psychology with a certificate in addiction studies. He hopes to attend law school in the near future and work in criminal prosecution. Ethan is originally from Joliet, IL. He is particularly interested in finding ways to educate our community on how to treat an opioid overdose and how to identify signs of overdose. He is also interested in studying how public policy can be used to help curb overdose. In his free time, Ethan enjoys trying new places around Columbia, playing video games, watching Chicago/Mizzou sports, being with friends and family, and watching TV.
